Securing your flash media card
To protect the information from unauthorized access, you can encrypt your flash media card. Refer to “Encrypting the flash media card” on page 54 for more information.
Using HDMI devices
Your tablet has a mini HDMI connector that you can use to connect an external display for video output. To locate the mini HDMI connector, see “Tablet layout” on page 1.
To use an external display for video output, you have to enable the Attached display function first from the Quick Settings panel.
When you connect an external display to your tablet through the HDMI connector, your tablet screen image is automatically mirrored on the external display at the highest resolution that the device supports.

Synchronizing files between your tablet and computer
Your tablet supports the Windows® Device Stage feature, which enables you to synchronize media files and documents between a mobile device and a personal computer. Connect your tablet to your computer through the supplied USB cable to use this synchronization solution.
By default, the micro USB connection setting of your tablet is set as Media device (MTP). When the tablet is connected to your computer for the first time, as soon as the necessary drivers are installed, the Device Stage window is displayed on the computer for you to perform the following tasks:
•Synchronize pictures, videos, and music stored on your computer with your tablet.
•Manage the media files stored on your tablet.
•Use your computer to view files and folders on your tablet.
•Copy pictures and videos from your tablet to your computer.
•Download and install the Docs To Go program on your computer to synchronize Microsoft office documents between your computer and your tablet.
•Name your tablet and set up how you want your tablet to work with the Windows operating system.
Notes:
•Some of the task options might not be available on your computer. Available options vary by the Windows operating system and the Windows operating system version.
•If you change the micro USB connection setting to Camera (PTP), then only pictures and videos can be synchronized.
•On subsequent USB connections, a minimized task icon is displayed on the Windows task bar. Click the icon to bring up the Device Stage window.
