Lenovo technical support

After you buy a ThinkPad Tablet, register your tablet with Lenovo. Using the registered information, Lenovo can contact you in case of a recall or other severe problems. After you register your computer with Lenovo, you will receive quicker service when you call Lenovo for help. In addition, some locations offer extended privileges and services to registered users.

To register your computer with Lenovo, go to http://www.lenovo.com/register and follow the instructions on the screen.

Technical support information is available on the Lenovo Support Web site at http://www.lenovo.com/support.

This Web site is updated with the latest support information such as the following:

If you need to call the Lenovo Customer Support Center, go to http://www.lenovo.com/support/phone for the latest telephone numbers and hours of operation.

During the warranty period, you can get the following services from the Customer Support Center:

Problem determination: Trained personnel are available to assist you with determining if you have a hardware problem and deciding what action is necessary to fix the problem.

Lenovo hardware repair: If the problem is determined to be caused by Lenovo hardware under warranty, trained service personnel are available to provide the applicable level of service.

Engineering change management: Occasionally, there might be changes that are required after a product has been sold. Lenovo or your reseller, if authorized by Lenovo, will make selected Engineering Changes (ECs) that apply to your hardware available.

For the terms and conditions of the Lenovo Limited Warranty that applies to your tablet, refer to the Safety and Warranty Guide that comes with your tablet.

Locating the machine type and model (MTM) number and the system serial number

When calling for technical assistance, you are requested to provide the MTM number and the system serial number of your tablet. To get the MTM number and the serial number, do either of the following:

Open Android Settings and touch About tablet. Then you can see the required numbers under Machine type and model and System-unit serial number.

Open the SIM card slot cover. The MTM label is affixed on the inner side of the cover.
