Chapter 10. Settings

Read this chapter to familiarize yourself with the various settings available to help you personalize and optimize your tablet.

To open Android Settings, either touch the Android Settings icon on Lenovo Launch Zone, or touch Settings from the application library. There are four categories of Android settings and more introduction is given in each of the following four topics:

“WIRELESS & NETWORKS” on page 62

“PERSONAL” on page 65

“SYSTEM” on page 67

The following table provides a brief introduction to the main menu items on the Android Settings screen. For detailed introduction, see the topics that follow.

View details about the applications installed on your tablet, manage

 

 

application data, close applications, and set whether you want to

 

 

permit the installation of applications that you obtain from Web sites

PERSONAL

Accounts & sync

Add, remove, and manage your Google Accounts and other

 

 

accounts.

 

 

 

 

Location services

Configure how you want the tablet to determine your location and

 

 

how you want to share your location with Google and others.

 

 

 

 

Security

Configure the security policies and settings.

 

 

 

 

Language & input

Select the language that you want to work with on your tablet and

 

 

configure the input method.

 

 

 

 

Backup & reset

Back up data or reset your tablet.
