Removing the AC power supply 21

You should replace a failed power supply as soon as possible to restore high-availability operation.

CAUTION

To maintain proper cooling, never operate the Ethernet Routing Switch 8300 Series chassis with an empty power supply bay. If you are replacing a failed power supply and you do not have a power filler panel, leave the failed power supply installed until a replacement power supply is available.

To remove an AC power supply:

Step Action

1Turn off the power switch on the power supply that you are replacing.

2Disconnect the power cord from the power outlet and from the power supply.

3Loosen the two retaining screws on the power supply.
