Appendix B: The Parameter List

Editing using The File Transfer Protocol provides another alternative for changing FTP the parameter settings.

1. Log in to the AXIS 540/640 by typing the command:

ftp <host name>↵

4.Edit the file using your preferred text editor.

put config CONFIG↵

Notes: ❏ It is important that the edited filename is specified in block capitals. Otherwise, the edits are regarded as temporary and will be lost once the AXIS 560/660 has been powered down.

❏The method for performing file transfers using FTP can vary, dependent upon which FTP application you are using.
