Display Assembly
CAUTION: Before you begin any of the procedures in this section, follow the safety instructions in the Product Information Guide.
NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on the back of the computer).
NOTICE: To help prevent damage to the system board, you must remove the battery from the battery bay before you begin working inside the computer.
Removing the Display Assembly
1Follow the instructions in "Before You Begin" on page 9.
2Remove the hinge cover (see "Hinge Cover" on page 25).
3Remove the keyboard (see "Removing the Keyboard" on page 27).
4Remove the Mini Card cables from the Mini Cards if applicable (see "Wireless Mini Cards" on page 31).
5Rotate the display assemblyassembly at an approximate angle of 90 degrees to the base.
6Remove the four screws from the hinges.
