4.Write down the serial number and the MAC address from the label on the component side of the HSSI module on the following line:

Serial number label

Serial number example: S/N:1BK12345

MAC address example: 0800021A4B5C

You will need this information if you have to contact your network supplier.

The MAC address is also encoded in the HSSI module’s EEPROM. Use the procedure in Appendix B, “Displaying the MAC Address,” to display the MAC address encoded in the

EEPROM.
