3.9Audio Interface

The audio interface includes three jacks: Microphone in, Line out and Line in. (See Fig. 3-4.) Their functions are:

!Microphone in: Use an external microphone to record voice and sound.

!Line out: Output audio to external devices such as speakers or earphones.

!Line in: Input audio from an external CD player or radio.

1.Connect the audio device to the system. (See Fig. 3-4.)

2.Install the driver before using the device.

3.10Ethernet

External devices on the network may be connected to the system through the exter- nal Ethernet port located on the bottom of the system unit.

1.Be sure the panel PC is turned off.

2.Connect the external device(s) to the panel PC.

3.Turn on the panel PC and the external device(s).

Note! Customer can order two LAN ports or Change default LAN port to Giga LAN via Advantech OEM processes.

3.11Front Bezel LED and Light Sensor

On the front bezel of the PPC-155T there are three LEDs to indicate Power, HDD, LAN. A light sensor with built-in panel brightness level control completes the array. (See Figure 3.5).

Details about the light sensor are available on the Driver CD, inside the “light sensor” folder. The Advantech “Smart Backlight Utility” is aimed to help the user adjust the backlighting of the panel. Users can also configure the backlight of the panel from desktop utility; switch between manual-mode/auto-mode set the backlight value. The SUSI software library is also available to support configuration and operation of the system controls and sensors.
