1.After removing the plastic cap, use your thumb and the index finger
to hold the CPU at the north and south center edges.

3.Once the CPU and the socket are aligned, carefully lower the CPU straight down into the socket.
Do not rub the CPU against the surface of the socket or its pins to avoid damaging the CPU or the socket.
4.With the CPU in the socket, in- spect the
four corners of the CPU to make sure that it sits level and is properly installed.
5.Once the CPU is securely seated in the socket, lower the CPU load plate to the socket.
6.Use your thumb to gently push the socket clip down to the clip lock.
Important! Please save the plastic cap. The motherboard must be shipped with the plastic cap properly installed to protect the CPU socket pins. Shipment without the plastic cap properly installed may cause damage to the socket pins.
