Use this function to delete any unnecessary files or to make room for new files in the memory.

0The LCD must be cleared to activate this function, and it cannot be activated in the STORE mode.

1)Hold down the Code Key and press the "0" Key. "NAME OF FILE?" appears on the LCD.

2)Type in the file name and press the Return Key.

3)"DELETE COMPLETED" will appear on the LCD if the file was in the typewriter memory.

O"NOT FOUND PRESS __1. will appear if the file was not in the memory. Press the Return Key and retype the file name. Use Correction Key to delete any name on the LCD, if necessary.

OYou can cancel the file deleting function by pressing the Return Key only if there is no file name on the LCD.

4)Press the Return Key to terminate this function.

This function allows you to delete all files in the memory.

®The LCD must be cleared to activate this function, and it cannot I_e performed in the STORE mode.

1)Hold clown the Code Key and press the "A" Key. "CLEAR ALL FILES Y/N?" appears on the LCD.

2)Press the "Y" Key. "ARE YOU SURE Y/N?" appears on the LCD, asking-for confirmation.

3)All files are cleared when the "Y" Key is pressed again.

OThe function is canceled if the "N" Key is pressed after the first or second prompt.
