This function moves a block of text to a specified location in the file.

1)Display the file text using the edit mode.

2)Position the cursor on the first character of the text to be moved.

3)Hold down the Code Key and press the "P" Key. This marks the beginning of the block. Two beeps sound and

a "W' appears above "BLOCK" on the display, indicating that the block function is in effect.

4)Move the cursor to the last character of the text to be moved.

5)Hold down the Code Key and press the "P" key again to mark the end of the block. Two beeps sound, indicating that the block of text has been defined. The defined block of text starts flashing on the display.

6)Move the cursor to the position where you want to move th_ block of text.

7)Hold down the Code Key and press the "M" Key. The block of text is moved to the specified position. "Y"

above "BLOCK" disappears. The block function is can- celed at this time.

@When a block of text is moved, succeeding characters are

shifted to the left to fill in the space created by the moving of text.
