3With a dry lint-free cloth, wipe away any dust and spilled toner from the toner cartridge area and the toner cartridge cavity.

4Reinsert the toner cartridge and close the cover.

5 Plug in the power cord and turn the machine on.

Cleaning the Scanning Glass

Keeping the scanning glass clean helps ensure the best possible copies. We suggest that you clean the scanning glass at the start of each day and during the day, as needed.

1Slightly dampen a soft lint-free cloth or paper towel with water.

2Open the control panel by gripping its top and pulling it.

3Carefully wipe the scanning glass with a soft dry cloth.

If the glass is very dirty, first wipe it with a slightly dampened cloth, and then with a dry cloth. Be very careful not to scratch the glass surface.

4Close the control panel firmly until it clicks into place.

CAUTION: When closing the ope control, strongly push the LCD projection part in the center portion of ope control. If it is not fully closed, JAM is likely to occur.
