Extension phone (optional)

If you want to use a regular phone or answering machine with your machine, connect the phone into the EXT. jack.

Plug the cord of your regular phone or answering machine into the TAM(telephone answering machine) lead and plug the TAD(telephone answering device) lead into the EXT. jack at the back of the machine.

To a regular phone

Note: You must use the TAM lead which is supplied with your machine.

AC power cord

Plug one end of the cord into the back of the machine and the other end into a standard AC power outlet.

The machine will turn on and the display will show ‘SYSTEM INITIAL’. If there is no cartridge installed or no paper, the display will show

‘JAM/NO CARTRIDGE’

If you want to turn it off, unplug the power cord.
