To set the built-in TV tuner automatically—Auto Channel Setup

Auto Channel Setup automatically assigns the programme position numbers to all receivable stations (their Guide Program numbers are also set automatically) during Auto Channel Setup in your area. NOTES

•Using the confirmation screen, you can skip or add stations, enter station names and perform other operations. Refer to pages 71 to 73 for the procedures.

•Depending on reception conditions, stations may not be stored in order, and the station names and/or the Guide Program numbers may not be stored correctly.

If the Guide Program numbers are not set properly when you timer-record a TV programme using the VIDEO PLUS+® system, the unit will not record a TV programme you want (see page 40).

•Fine tuning is performed automatically during Auto Channel Set. If you want to perform tuning manually, see page 72.

•If “SCAN COMPLETED –NO SIGNAL–” appears on the TV, make sure of the aerial connection, then press ENTER; Auto Channel Set will take place again.
