down the codes for the brand of each device you want to program.

Note: Some manufacturers may have several codes listed. Try each until you find the right one. If you cannot find the correct code, see “Manufacturer Code Search” on Page 25.

2.Turn on all home entertainment devices.

3.Hold down P for at least 3 seconds. 9E:;ý I;J appears.

4.Touch SELECT. The last selected mode appears.

Note: To exit this mode at any time, hold down P again for at least 3 seconds. ;N?J?D= appears, then the last-used mode screen.

5.Touch the desired mode key (TV, VCR/DVD, CAB/ SAT, RECVR, AUX 1, AUX 2, AUX 3, or AUX 4). The default or previously set device and code appear.

6.If the displayed device is not the desired type, use the up or down arrows to scroll to a device you want. Then touch SELECT. The selected device and its (default or previously set) code appear.

Note: There are 13 different devices available for setup. Refer to “A Quick Look at the Keys” on Page 6 for additional information on a desired device.

7.Using the keypad, enter the first 4-digit manufac-

turer’s code for the desired device and then touch SELECT. If you’ve entered a correct code, IK99;II appears.

If the code is not correct, DEJý<EKD: appears instead. Enter the next code until IK99;II appears.

Note: For TV/VCR combinations, touch VCR/DVD in Step 4 and use the VCR code listed for your model under “TV/VCR Combo Codes” on Page 60. If your TV/VCR combination also lists a TV code, you must program the TV separately by repeating Steps 4
