Select the caption function for ei- ther the TV or the VCR, but not both. If both are decoding caption signals, captions might overlap or reception might be poor.
4.To turn off captions, press CAP- TION or FUNCTION so DECODER appears, then press VOL + or – so the arrow points to OFF.

1.Press CAPTION on the remote control or FUNCTION on the front panel so DECODER appears. Then press VOL + or – so the ar- row points to ON.
Note: If you select captioning and then turn off the TV, captioning is still active when you turn on the TV again.
2.Press CAPTION or FUNCTION so
DECODER MODE appears. Then press VOL + or – so the arrow points to CAPTION.
3.Press CAPTION or FUNCTION until
MODE SELECTION appears. Press VOL + or – so the arrow points to MODE 1 or MODE 2.
