Selecting Text
1.Press CAPTION on the remote control or FUNCTION on the front panel to display DECODER. Then press VOL + or – so the arrow points to ON.
2.Press CAPTION or FUNCTION so the display shows DECODER MODE. Then press VOL + or – so the arrow points to TEXT.
3.Press CAPTION or FUNCTION so the display shows MODE SELEC-
TION and press VOL + or – so the arrow points to MODE 1 or MODE 2.
4.To turn off the text function, press
CAPTION or FUNCTION so DE- CODER appears, then press VOL + or – so the arrow points to OFF.

Note: If the signal for the text program is weak, the black box might appear and disappear on the screen. This problem goes away when reception improves.
