Variable memory editing operation procedure
Variable memory editing operation can be performed according to the following procedure, setting the unit connected as a recorder to variable memory mode.
1 Select the edit mode by pressing ASMBL button | V or desired INSERT button | W. | ||
2 Select VTR to be operated by pressing RECORDER or PLAYER button |

3 Register IN/OUT point by using SET button | T and IN/OUT button | T. |

The OUT point of PLAYER cannot be registered. |

4 After selecting VTR of PLAYER by pressing PLAYER button | E, set the initial speed by | |||
the search dial | P while pressing SET button | T. |

5 Simultaneously pressing both SET button | T and PREVIEW/REVIEW button | S results | ||
in automatic profiling for both PLAYER and RECORDER, then the VTR of PLAYER is |

| ||
operated at the set initial speed up to the IN point. |

6 After passing the IN point, turn the search dial | P to memorize the playback speed of VTR. |
7When the tape has passed the OUT point set by RECORDER, the memory of the playback speed will terminate.
8 When AUTO EDIT button | R is pressed, variable memory editing is executed. | Once |
editing has been executed, the memorized speed will be cleared. The initial speed will |

not be cleared however. |

9 The result of editing can be checked by pressing PREVIEW/REVIEW button | S. |
<Notes>
• The content stored in the memory will be cleared in a mode other than the variable memory mode.
Also, the memory will be cleared with power switch1 turned OFF.
• Phase adjustment is not made during playback to the IN point of variable memory editing.
