You can start recording the programme that you are watching on your TV with simple operation. Press and hold Tand press .on the Remote Control, or press Ton the VCR. Follow the procedure below to use this function.

get to the mode set screen Press m. Move the highlight bar to MODE

SET using the Aand Bbuttons and press	3	OK /	(or E).
		OK /

select direct rec mode Move the highlight bar to DIRECT REC using the Aand B

buttons. Press	3	OK /	(or E) to select ON or
		OK /

OFF.

• When DIRECT REC is set to ON, if you press any button just after pressing Ton the VCR (or Tand .on the Remote Control), the recorder may not function properly.

•If DIRECT REC is set to OFF, the Tbutton functions as described in Recording ( pg. 18).

•During the Direct Rec, ‘– –’ appears on the display panel.

•Direct Rec is not possible with a scrambled broadcast. To record a scrambled broadcast, set DIRECT REC to OFF and follow the procedure described in

Recording on page 18.
