Activation of Recording Via External Alarm/Sensor Signals
When signals from alarm devices are input via the [ALARM IN] terminal on the rear panel, recording will automatically start in the mode as specified for the “REC MODE” item in the “ALARM/SENSOR MODE” Menu (☞ Page 27). Alarm recording will be executed if alarm signals are received when

Set the record mode for Cameras 1 - 4 and Cameras 9 - 12.
Before doing so, ensure that setting for Cameras 1 - 4 and Cameras 9 - 12 in the “REC MODE” Menu is completed.

1. Connect the alarm device to the ‘Signal Input/ Output terminal’ on the rear panel of the equip- ment
•Connect the alarm device to the [ALARM IN 1 ~ ALARM IN 4] and [ALARM IN 9 ~ ALARM IN 12] terminals.
2.Press the [MENU] button
•Follow procedures in ‘Changing Menu Settings’ on page 22 to display
the “ALARM/SENSOR MODE” Menu.

Notes
•Ensure that the “EXT INPUT OPERATING MODE” (☞ page 28) item is set to “ON”. If this is set to “OFF”, recording via alarm sig- nals is not possible even when setting is completed.
•About 1 second or less will be required be- fore sensor recording starts upon the input of alarm signals. To resolve this, make use of the ‘Presensor Recording’ feature.
