RECORDER MENU Screen

The following table identifies and describes the parameters that may be set using the RECORDER screen.

Top half	: Appearance on monitor screen
Bottom half	: Appearance on LCD display
[ ]	: Default setting

RECORDER MENU (1/2) screen

Parameter	Possible settings				Description
CHAPTER	[MANUAL]	This parameter is used to indicate whether or not chapters are to be created
CREATION	AUTO	automatically at set intervals while recording.
		MANUAL : Chapters are not to be created automatically.
CHAPTR	[MANU]	AUTO	Use this setting when chapters are to be set manually.
	AUTo		: Chapters are to be created at set intervals during recording.
			The SET INTERVAL parameter below is used to specify this interval.
SET INTERVAL	Every01min	This parameter becomes active whenever CHAPTER CREATION has been set to
		AUTO.
	[Every05min]	It is used to set the time interval for automatic chapter creation and is set in units of
		minutes.

AUTO CHAPTER	OFF	Select whether to automatically insert a chapter mark during a recording pause.
(REC PAUSE)	[ON]	OFF : Do not insert a chapter mark.
		ON : Insert a chapter mark.

TIMELAPSE REC	ON	For selecting whether to use the Timelapse Recording feature.
	[NO USE]	Timelapse Recording: Allows recording over long hours through intermittent recording.
		ON	: Use Timelapse Recording feature. A configuration screen will be displayed
TL REC	oN		when this is set to ON. (☞ Page 41)
	[oFF]		The AUDIO ENCODE item is automatically set to NO AUDIO.
		NO USE : Do not use Timelapse Recording feature.

AUDIO ENCODE	NO AUDIO	This parameter is used to set the encoding format for audio data.
	LPCM	NO AUDIO		: Do not record audio sound. The recording time will be longer as

●Only UXP, XP or SP on the ENCODE QUALITY item can be selected when the AUDIO QUALITY item is set to LPCM.

●This item will be automatically set to NO AUDIO when the TIMELAPS REC item is set to ON.

●The MPEG set values can be displayed and selected when the TV TYPE item on the SYSTEM MENU (2/2) screen is set to PAL.

DAILY REC	ON		For selecting whether to use the DAILY REC feature.
	[NO USE]		DAILY REC		: Allows recording to start/stop automatically at a designated time on a
			ON		daily basis.
dAILY	oN				: Use DAILY REC feature. A configuration screen will be displayed when
	[oFF]				this is set to ON. (☞ Page 42)
			NO USE : Do not use DAILY REC feature.
∆			This button is used to display the RECORDER MENU (2/2) screen.

MENU			This button is used to return to the Setup MENU screen.

RECORDER MENU (2/2) screen
Parameter	Possible settings				Description
AUDIO	[1,2ch † 1,2ch]		This parameter is to be set when recording an audio signal from the DV IN/OUT
CHANNEL (DV)	3,4ch † 1,2ch		terminal.
			Specifically, it indicates whether the signals from channels 1 and 2 or from channels
dV CH	[1 2]		3 and 4 are to be recorded. (Only available for 32 kHz)
	3 4		1,2ch † 1,2ch : Channels 1 and 2 are to be recorded.
			3,4ch † 3,4ch : Channels 3 and 4 are to be recorded.
AUDIO REC	[BOTH]		This parameter is used to select the method for adjustment of audio recording levels.
VOLUME MODE	INDEPENDENCE		Specifically, both channels can be adjusted while maintaining the same level, or
			each channel can be adjusted independently.
VRModE	[boTH]		BOTH		: Both channels are to be adjusted while maintaining the same
	INdE				level.
			INDEPENDENCE : Both channels are to be adjusted independently.
ASPECT	[AUTO]		The screen aspect distinction signal of recorded video is selected.
	4:3		AUTO		: Aspect distinction signal is recorded according to the screen aspect
	LETTER	4:3			ratio of the input video.
	SQUEEZE				: Constantly records aspect distinction signal of 4:3 aspect ratio.
			LETTER		: Constantly records aspect distinction signal of letterbox video.
					(Content at the top and bottom of the screen is blackened out.)
ASPECT	[AUTo]		SQUEEZE		: Constantly records aspect distinction signal of squeezed video.
	4 3			Note	(Content at the left and right of the screen is compressed.)
	LETT
	SqUE		Setting this item to LETTER or SQUEEZE will not change the output image during
			recording and is reflected only in the recording to the disc.
BACK			This button is used to return to the RECORDER MENU (1/2) screen.
