Title editing function keys

CHARA. key:

Press to switch the character groups on the character display.

Manual search (1, Á) keys:

Press to move the cursor during title input operation.

When the cursor is

(lower half only) : The input character is inserted before the character in the cursor position.

When the cursor is

: The input character replaces the character in the cursor position.

FADE / DELETE key:

Press to clear (delete) the character on the cursor position and move the characters after it by one character backward. Pressing the key successively (or holding it depressed) allows to clear a title easily.

EDIT / SPACE key:

Press to enter (insert) a space (one blank character) immediately before the character in the cursor position and move the characters after it by one character forward. Multiple spaces can also be entered by pressing the key successively (or holding it depressed). The spaces are mainly used to leave spaces for later addition of characters before adding characters to a title.

Scrolling the display

There may be cases in which the amount of information is too large to be displayed at a time during the title input operation, etc. In such a case, pressing and holding the 1 or Á key allows to move the displayed characters to the left (or right) so that other information which has been hidden can be displayed. This leftward or rightward movement of the display characters is referred to as “scrolling.”
