5Press the ENTER key.

The selected source projects or files are copied to the HD.

After the copy operation is complete, the DV-RA1000HD initiates a procedure to quit copy mode.

During this procedure, the DV-RA1000HD dis- plays a progress bar. When the procedure is complete, the unit displays the home screen.

Copying files and projects from the HD to DVD

You can copy data from the HD of DV-RA1000HD to a DVD±RW or DVD±R disc.

1Select HD to DVD in the copy menu screen.

2Insert a copy destination DVD following the in- structions on the screen.

The DV-RA1000HD displays a source project selection screen.

If you insert an unsupported disc, an error message appears. To continue the copy operation, press the ENTER key. To change the disc, press the CANCEL key. The

DV-RA1000HD ejects the disc and displays a message that requests that you insert a disc.

3Select a project/file to copy.

You can select multiple projects.

You can also copy specified files inside a project, instead of copying the entire project.

4After you select a project, press the ENTER key.

If a project in the destination DVD uses the same name as the selected source project, the DV-RA1000HD displays a duplicate project screen that lists all projects that use the same

name. Follow the procedure in the “Same project name in the destination” section described above to resolve the name duplicate issues, then press the ENTER key.

A message requests confirmation to start copying data to the DVD.

5Press the ENTER key.

The selected source projects or files are copied to the DVD.

After the copy operation is complete, a message appears, asking whether you wish to copy the data to another disc.

6To copy the data to another disc, press the ENTER key.

The DV-RA1000HD automatically opens the tray. Follow the steps 4 and 5 described above.

If you do not wish to copy the data to another disc, press the CANCEL key.

The DV-RA1000HD initiates a procedure to quit copy mode.

During this procedure, the DV-RA1000HD dis- plays a progress bar. When the procedure is complete, the unit displays the home screen.

Copying the data to a DVD±RW disc that already contains data

If available space on the disc is smaller than the total size of the projects selected for the first copy operation, the DV-RA1000HD will check the disc, open the tray, then display a popup menu that requests that you insert a disc.
