
4 − Basic operations
Selecting the input source
The input source for recording can be selected as described here:
1Press the MENU key, and use the JOG/DATA dial to select SYSTEM SETUP. Press ENTER.
2Use the JOG/DATA dial to select I/O SELECT. Press
ENTER.
3Use the JOG/DATA dial to select from the follow- ing screen:

4First, choose between ANALOG and DIGITAL on the INPUT parameter.
If you choose the analog option, remember that both the balanced XLR inputs and the unbal- anced RCA inputs are active together, but you should only use one set.
5If you are recording to CD, or a 44.1/48 kHz or 88.2/96
If you are recording to a 176.4/192
If you are recording to a DSD DVD and HD, the signals will always be input and output through the BNC connectors. The DIO parameter here chooses the format in which the audio is sent and received:

The
If you set the INPUT parameter to DIGITAL, in- put a signal with a sampling frequency of 44.1 kHz for CD recording. For DVD±RW or HD recording in PCM mode, input a signal with the same sampling frequency as that for the project.
