Movie Rating

The Lock feature allows you to prevent DVDs from being played based on their ratings or to have certain discs played with alternative scenes.

2Use v / V to select the LOCK option.

3 While the LOCK option is selected, press B to move to the second level.

4Use v / V to select the Movie Rating option.

5Press B to move to the third level.

6Enter a 4-digit password using the 0-9 buttons. Enter the 4-digit password again to confirm.

Unlock: If you select No Limit, the Lock feature is not active. The disc will play in full.

Level 1 to 8: Some discs contain scenes not suit- able for children. If you set a rating for the DVD Recorder+VCR, all scenes with the same rating or lower will be played. Higher rated scenes will not be played unless an alternative scene is available on the disc. The alternative must have the same rating or a lower one. If no suitable alternative is found, playback will stop. You must enter the 4-digit pass-

word or change the rating level in order to play the disc.Select a rating from 1 to 8 using the v / V but-

If you forget your 4-digit code

If you forget your password, follow the procedure below:

1Press SETUP to display the Setup menu.

2Use the 0-9 buttons to enter the 5-digit number “21019”. The following message appears on the TV screen: “The memorized password will be deleted. Proceed?”

3Select “Yes” then press ENTER. The 4-digit pass- word is cleared. Enter a new code as shown above.
