Playing a DVD/Video CD (Continued)

Still Picture and Frame-by-Frame Playback

DVD Video VR VCD

1Press PAUSE/STEP (X) during playback.

The DVD Recorder+VCR will go into Pause mode.

2You can back up or advance the picture frame-by- frame by pressing b / B repeatedly during Pause mode.

Frame-by-frame reverse playback is not available on Video CDs.

Search DVD Video VR VCD

1Press REW (m) or FF (M) during playback.

The DVD Recorder+VCR will go into Search mode.

2Press REW or FF to select the desired speed: B, M, <,MM, M<, << (forward)

or b, m, ,, mm, m,, ,, (back- ward).

With a Video CD, the Search speed changes to: M, <, MM (forward) or m, ,, mm (backward).

3To exit Search mode, press PLAY (N).

ote

When you press REW or FF during Search mode to resume normal speed, Search mode is canceled.

Random Karaoke DVD VCD

1Press RANDOM during Play mode.

The DVD Recorder+VCR automatically begins Random playback and “RANDOM” appears on the front panel display.

2To return to normal playback, press RANDOM until “NORMAL” appears on the front panel display.

By pressing NEXT during Random playback, the DVD Recorder+VCR selects another title (track) and resumes Random playback.

This function only works with DVD Karaoke discs or video CDs without PBC.

On a Video CD with PBC, you must set PBC to OFF in the Disc Settings menu to use the Random func- tion; see page 26.

DVD Discs - Repeat Chapter/Title/All/Off

Press REPEAT to select the desired Repeat mode.

Chapter: Repeats the current chapter.

Title:

Repeats the current title.

All:

Repeats all titles on the disc

 

(VR mode DVD-RW disc only).

OFF:

Exits Repeat mode.

Video CDs - Repeat Track/All/Off

Press REPEAT to select the desired Repeat mode.

Track: Repeats the current track.

All:

Repeats all tracks on the disc.

OFF:

Exits Repeat mode.

On a Video CD with PBC, you must set PBC to OFF in the Disc Settings menu to use the Repeat function; see page 26.

To repeat a sequence in a title:

1Press A-B at your chosen starting point.

REPEAT A- appears on the TV screen.

2Press A-B again at your chosen end point.

REPEAT A-B appears briefly on the TV screen, and the repeat sequence begins.

3To cancel the sequence, press A-B repeatedly to select REPEAT OFF.
