Connections and initial set up

The messages on the display

Note: the brightness of the light on the display can be adjusted. Refer to page 48 about how to do this.

TV Functions

Main menu displayed on screen (device stopped).

No function selected.

Real-time viewing.

TV mode activated; channel 1 being watched.

Pause of the channel being watched.

Time Shift mode activated: the program is frozen while the rest of the TV program continues to be recorded.

Delayed viewing of the selected channel.

After a pause, you resume viewing where you left off while the end of the program continues to be recorded; the time difference between delayed viewing and real- time broadcast is displayed (-39 seconds in this case).

Return to real-time viewing (key LIVE).

The TV programme on the channel selected starts recording. Channel 1 is then indicated during recording.

With a disc

Start of disc playback.

DVD playback.

Playback of an Audio CD or VCD.

Pause of Audio CD or still frame (DVD,VCD).

Fast forward (u) or reverse (t).

Slow motion, forward (Ku) or backward (tK).

Other indications

Naviclick programmes guide displayed on the screen.

The source selected is indicated (with the AV key):

AV 2 or SAT after installation of a satellite receiver (page 10 and following pages).

AV 3: AUDIO/VIDEO input sockets on the front.

AV 4: AV/ S-VIDEO or AUDIO/VIDEO input sockets at the rear.
