The broadcast is frozen. You have 45 to 90 minutes to record the broadcast according to the setting selected (page 49). After this period the recording continues but the first few minutes will be deleted for the benefit of the following minutes.

time, press LIVE.

Note: Once you have activated the Pause Live TV, mode, you cannot change channels since the recording of a TV program onto the hard disc does not allow the change of channels.

Record the current programme

Your DMR has the same recording functions as a VCR. Only the recording medium is different (a hard disc instead of a video cassette). The capacity of your hard disc depends on the quality you set for your recordings. Refer to page 43.

Replaying what you missed

When you watch a TV program in real time, you can at any time go back a few minutes to replay a scene. This is made possible because the program you are watching in real time is constantly being recorded in buffer memory which records up to 90 minutes.

To select and replay the scenes you want to see again, use the REV, FWD, PLAY, PAUSE and STOP keys.

Recording the current program

To record the program you are watching, press REC. Recording is confirmed by the message RECORD which appears for a few seconds on the DMR’s display panel. An information banner is also displayed along with the picture for a few seconds. To display it again, press the yellow INFO key.

Note: once you press REC to start a recording, you can no longer change channels.

To see your program recordings, refer to the VIDEO menu on page 41.

Stopping the recording

Press STOP to stop the recording.

A confirmation menu appears. Follow the instructions.

Note:To avoid recording images that are of no interest to you, select the temporary stop using the / keys, (this is useful when copying images from a camcorder). Press ok to resume the recording. Select the complete stop to fully stop the recording.

In all cases, follow on-screen instructions.
