Using your DVD Recorder remote control with your TV

Your DVD Recorder remote control has limited control of TVs of different brands.

The following buttons will operate TVs:

-VOL + increase TV volume

-VOL - decrease TV volume

-MUTE mute TV sound

Other buttons normally operate the DVD Recorder but will operate the TV if you press and hold TV SHIFT.

-CH + next higher TV channel

-CH - next lower TV channel

-0 - 9 choose TV channel directly

-POWER (B/I)

switch TV to standby or power off or on If your TV does not respond to the Recorder’s remote control, reprogram your remote control. Below are the remote control codes for various TV brands. Follow these steps to reprogram the remote control.

1Look up the setup code for your TV in the code list in the following pages.

2Pointing the remote control at the TV, press and hold t and u (left and right cursor) simultaneously for at least three seconds.

3Release both buttons.

4Within 30 seconds, enter the correct four digit code by using the digit buttons 0-9.

5See if the remote works as described at left. If the remote does not work your TV, try other codes for your brand. If the brand of your TV is not in the list, try the codes for other brands one after the other or follow the alternative process as described below.
