Using the ALS (ambient light sensor) feature

ALS senses the room ambient light and automatically adjusts the picture contrast for varying light conditions. For example, when the room is dark, the ALS will automatically reduce the contrast (which reduces eye strain). ALS is energized when the ALS menu is set to ON.

To activate the ALS:

1.Press MENU, and then press x or • until the PICTURE menu appears.

2.Press y or z to highlight ALS.

3.Press x or • to highlight ON. The CONTRAST setting changes to AUTO, and is not adjustable while the ALS feature is on.
