High-Definition

Watch high-definition content disc with HDTV (High Definition Television). Connect it through a

high speed HDMI® cable. You can enjoy excellent picture quality up to 1080p resolution with the frame rate of 24 frames per second with progressive scan output.

BD-LiveTM

Connect this player to the movie studios website via the LAN jack or WiFi® connection to access a

variety of up-to-date content (e.g. refreshed previews and exclusive special features).

Blu-ray 3DTM

This product can play 3D content, using an HDMI® cable. To implement the 3D effect, connect a 3D device (3D-compliant AV receiver, 3D-compliant TV) to the product using an HDMI® cable, and play the 3D content while wearing 3D vision glasses.

Blu-ray DiscTM Java

Blu-ray DiscTM Java (BD-J) Application the BD-ROM format supports Java for interactive functions. “BD-J” offers content providers almost unlimited functionality when creating interactive BD-ROM titles.

BONUSVIEWTM

The Blu-rayTMBONUSVIEWTM option allows you to watch picture-in-picture commentary during the film. The commentary is provided from a variety of people involved with the making of the film, such as the actors, producers, writers or director. This feature is similar to watching a standard DVD with the audio commentary on -- except you can actually see the person giving the commentary. Once activated, a smaller screen will appear on your television. Within the smaller screen will be a video of the person giving the commentary. Just like standard audio commentary, you have the ability to switch BONUSVIEWTM on or off based on your preference.

DVD Upconversion for enhanced picture quality

Your current DVD will look even better than before thanks to video upconversion. Upconversion will increase the resolution of a standard definition DVD to near high definition up to 1080p over an HDMI® connection. The picture will be less jagged and more realistic for a near high-definition experience.

Enjoy your content on different kinds of media

Full backwards compatibility with Blu-ray Disc™, DVD, CD and USB devices ensures that you can continue to enjoy your current audio-video collection.

Additionally, you can view JPEG digital pictures or to MP3 or Windows Media® Audio music files.

PIP (Picture-In-Picture)

Some Blu-ray™ videos have the PIP function which enables you to display the secondary video in the primary video. You can call up the secondary video by pressing OSC button on the remote whenever the scene contains the secondary video.
