Connecting to a TV and a Cable Box or Satellite Receiver

If you want to connect other equipment to the TV and DVD Player, make sure the DVD Player is still connected directly to the TV. The Player does not have any Video or Audio In jacks to receive video/audio from other equipment.
1 Connect the Cable TV or Satellite signal to the ANTENNA IN or TV IN jack on the Cable Box/Satellite Receiver. The ANTENNA IN jack may be labelled differently among dif- ferent brands. Refer to the instructions provided with your Cable Box/Satellite Receiver.
2 Connect an RF coaxial cable to the ANTENNA OUT or OUT TO TV jack on the Cable Box/Satellite Receiver. Connect the other end of the coaxial cable to the ANTENNA IN or RF IN or 75 ohm jack on your TV. These jacks are labelled differently among TV brands. Check your TV owner’s manual for details.
3 To connect the DVD Player to the TV, connect the supplied video cable (which has yellow ends) to the Player’s yellow CVBS VIDEO OUT jack. Connect the other end of the cable to the VIDEO IN jack on the TV. The VIDEO IN jack is usually yellow and might be labelled VIDEO, CVBS, COMPOSITE, or BASEBAND.
4 Connect the supplied audio cables (which have red and white ends) to the RIGHT FRONT (red) and LEFT FRONT (white) MULTICHANNEL AUDIO OUT jacks on the rear of the Player.
Connect the other ends of the audio cables to the AUDIO IN jacks on theTV. Audio jacks usually are red (right) and white (left). Match the cable colors to the jack colors.
5 Set the Progressive/Interlace switch on the rear of the Player to Interlace.
6 Connect the power cords of the Player, Cable Box/Satellite Receiver, and TV to a power outlet. Turn on all the equipment. (Press
7 Set the TV to the correct Audio/Video In channel when using the Player. Such chan- nels may be called AUX or AUXILIARY IN, AUDIO/VIDEO or A/V IN, EXT1 or EXT2, etc. These channels often are near channel 00. See your TV manual for details. Or, go to the lowest TV channel and change channels down until you see the Player’s screen saver.
8 Your Cable Box or Satellite Receiver may have a Channel 3/4 switch. Set it to 3 or 4, then set your TV to the same channel. To watch television programming, change TV channels at the Cable Box or Satellite Receiver.
