To exit from the warning screen, press either NO or EXIT. To begin the format, press the YES key.

FireStore FS-3 utilizes a FAT32 format type. If you are using a non-FAT32 formatted drive, see the section on Partitioning a volume. Once complete, the disk drive is ready for use with FS-3. It is advised that the drive be formatted before a new record session is begun.

After a format is complete, ten file folders are added to the disk drive (numbered 0-9). These folders are utilized in the SCENE MARKING feature (see page 33 of this User's Guide for details). Also added to the disk is a LOG folder, a DESKTOP folder and two additional files called Desktop DB and Desktop DF. Do not delete these files as they are required for FireStore operation.

Partition Volume

When an unknown or blank volume type (HDD) is connected to FS-3, the Partition process puts a FAT32 format onto the drive. It will erase any previous partition and data.

To exit from partition, press either NO or EXIT. To continue with partition, press the YES key.

WARNING: PARTITION ERASES ALL DATA ON THE DISK DRIVE!
