Microphone

The microphone picks up the sound during a recording. It is more sensitive to sounds coming from the direction the lens is pointed.

Automatic White Balance and Iris

The camcorder automatically adjusts white balance and the iris for the current conditions to give you the best recording.

AE (Automatic Exposure) Shutter Speed Control

The camcorder automatically adjusts the shutter speed (1/60, 1/100, 1/150, or 1/250) according to the lighting conditions.

The 1/60 second speed is selected for normal recording. No indicator appears for 1/60 second.

When recording in bright light, a higher shutter speed is selected. The indicator (AE:100, AE:150, or AE:250) for the speed selected will appear.

One beep for a standard function (turning power on, starting recording or playback, ejecting a tape, etc.).

Two beeps for stopping a recording.

Ten beeps for a warning such as TAPE
