Date and Time Display

Recording the Time and Date (or Date) on Your Tape

Install the clock battery and set the correct time and date before you record them on your tape.

Whenever the time and date (or date) appear in the viewfinder, it will be recorded on the tape. If you do not want to record the display, remove it from the viewfinder by repeatedly pressing the DATE/TIME button.

Clock Battery Holder (Insert battery “+” side down.)

1.Remove the clock battery holder.

2.Insert the clock battery with the “+” terminal facing down in the holder.

3.Fully insert the clock battery holder into the camcorder.

Note: flashes in the viewfinder when the clock battery is missing, discharged, or not installed properly.

Cautions: Lithium cell battery. Must be disposed of properly. Never handle a punctured or leaking cell. May cause burns or personal injury.

Keep out of the hands of children. Can cause death or injury if swallowed. If swallowed, consult a physician immediately for emergency treatment.

The lithium cell used in this device may explode resulting in a fire or chemical burn if mistreated. Do not recharge, disassemble, heat above 212˚F (100˚C), or incinerate.

Never use metallic tweezers to hold the cell, and never short circuit the + and – sides of the battery.
