4Fade, and Wipe Indicators

The indicator for the fade or wipe scene transition selected with the FADE/WIPE button appears here. When the mode select dial is in AUTO, Black Fader is automatically selected. Place the mode select dial in MANUAL to select the other fades or wipes.

•BK appears when you select Black Fade and fade in and out from a black screen.

•C appears when you select Blue Fade and fade in and out from a blue screen.

• appears when you select Mosaic Fade and fade in and out with a mosaic effect.

• appears when you select Door Wipe and wipe in from a black

screen opening to the sides or wipe out from the center to the sides leaving a black screen.

• appears when you select Scroll Wipe and wipe in from a black screen from the bottom to the top or wipe out from the top to the bottom leaving a black screen.

• appears when you select Window Wipe and wipe in from a black screen from the center to the corners or wipe out from the corners to the center leaving a black screen.

•P appears when you select Dissolve and the new scene gradually appears as the old one dissolves.

•– – appears when you select Auto Select and the camcorder selects one of six different wipes.

5Change Indicator (◆)

This indicator will appear to let you know that an item in the recording menu has been changed from the original factory setting.

6Title

The preset title you select or the title you create will appear in this area.

•The title will be recorded on your tape when it appears.

•Details are on pages 52-53.

7Date or Date and Time

The date, time, or date and time appears in this area of the viewfinder when you press the DATE/TIME button.

•These displays will be recorded on your tape when they appear.

•Details are on pages 56-57.

8Snapshot Indicator (Pin-Up, Frame, Full, Multi4, or Multi9) The indicator for the type of snapshot selected with the PHOTO EFFECTS button appears here.

•Press the SNAPSHOT button to take a snapshot.

•Details are on pages 40-41.

9Battery Level Indicator

•This indicator shows power left in the rechargeable battery.

•This indicator flashes when the battery is almost empty.

10Zoom Indicator

The zoom indicator appears here when you use the zoom lever.
