Recording Menu — Tape Time-Remaining Display

The approximate time remaining on the tape in the camcorder is automatically displayed in the viewfinder. The Tape Length feature in the recording menu must be set correctly for the length tape you are using before the camcorder can correctly calculate time remaining.

Set the Tape Length

1.Make sure the mode select dial is in

MANUAL.

2.Press the MENU button. The recording menu will appear in the viewfinder.

Shift Zoom	OFF
Tele Macro	OFF
Gain Up	AGC
Color Filter	NOR.
Tape Length	T20
Title
Date/Time
Sub Menu

3.Press 4 or 3 on the mode select dial to highlight Tape Length.

4.Press 5 or 6 on the mode select dial to select the length of tape you are using:

•Select T20 if you are using a tape with 20 minutes recording time in SP speed.

•Select T30 if you are using a tape with 30 minutes recording time in SP speed.

•Select T40 if you are using a tape with 40 minutes recording time in SP speed.

5.Press MENU to exit the menu.

Notes: The time-remaining indicator will start flashing when the remaining tape time reaches two minutes.

TAPE END appears when the tape reaches its end during recording or a cassette is loaded with its tape already at the end.
