Auto Pause Feature

The auto pause system places the camcorder in record pause when it is tilted approximately 90 degrees up or down or turned upside down.

To Turn On the Auto Pause System

Slide AUTO PAUSE OFF/ON switch to ON.

If the camcorder is tilted approximately 90 degrees up or down, turned upside down, or turned on its side during recording, it will automatically enter record pause. AUTO PAUSE appears in the viewfinder.

To Turn Off the Auto Pause System

Slide AUTO PAUSE OFF/ON switch to OFF.

The camcorder will record in any position.

Electronic Indexing

An index mark is automatically recorded at the beginning of a recording after a cassette is inserted. When you play back the indexed tape in a VCR that has a compatible indexing feature called “VHS Index Search System”, the invisible marks can be located automatically. See VCR owner’s manual.

Record an Index Mark – CC639 Remote Only

Press VISS on the remote during recording.

Press VISS during record pause to make an index mark on the tape when you start recording.

INDEX flashes in the viewfinder when an index mark is recorded.

Note: No other function can be performed during index recording.
