7.Press and hold INSERT while pressing and releasing PAUSE on the remote to place the camcorder in edit

insert standby. and PAUSE appear in the viewfinder.

PAUSE

To check your tape positioning, you can press EDIT SEARCH – or + on the camcorder.

8.Press START/STOP on remote (thumb trigger on camcorder) to start edit

insert. appears in the viewfinder. New video is recorded over the previous video. When the counter reading of M 0:00:00 is reached, edit insert stops and the camcorder enters edit standby.

9.Press STOP to end edit insert.

Notes: The camcorder may stop slightly before or after the edit out point and there may be slight distortion at this point.

If a fade/wipe effect was used during edit insert, wait ten seconds after pressing STOP to perform other operations.
