Electronic Image Stabilizer (EIS)
The electronic image stabilizer helps compensate for unstable images caused by camera shake that can be created by recording out of a moving vehicle or while walking.

To Turn On EIS
1.Place the POWER switch in CAMERA.
2.Press the EIS button. The EIS indicator appears in the viewfinder.

Notes: EIS does not operate when slow
shutter is activated. The flashes letting you know EIS is not functioning.
Turn off EIS when using a tripod.
Stabilization may not be possible if hand shake is excessive or when shooting the following:
•Subjects with vertical or horizontal stripes.
•Low contrast subjects or backgrounds or dark or dim subjects.
•Subject with excessive backlighting.
•Scenes with movements in various directions.
To Turn Off EIS
Press the EIS button. The EIS indicator disappears from the viewfinder.
