Zooming operation is performed by sliding the focusing/zooming control ring in or out until the desired degree of magnification (or composition) is obtained. To facilitate set- ting the lens at a desired focal length, reference marks corresponding to focal length settings of 180mm, 200mm, 250mm, 300mm, 350mm, 400mm, 500mm and 600mm are provided. Of course, all intermediate focal length settings can be used.
