You can record a subject focused in its single part with a smaller focus area than usual. This setting is particularly suitable to focus on the eye when you record one’s face.
[Preparation]
•Set the operational mode dial and REC mode dial. (P25)
1 Press the [MENU] button.
2 Press 3/4 to select [SPOT AF].
3 Press 2/1 to set to [ON].
4 Press the [MENU] button.
•The menu will disappear.
5 Center the subject in the spot focus area.
6 Take a picture.
• The recording method is the same as in “Taking Pictures (AUTO Mode)”. (P28)
•In AUTO [ ] or motion image [ ] mode, it is not possible to record with the spot AF.
