Ni-MH batteries have a limited life. Battery capacity gradually decreases over time. If the length of time you can use the camera is extremely short even after fully charging the batteries, they may have exceeded their life span. Purchase new batteries.

Battery life differs depending on the conditions of storage and usage and the environment.

When not using the batteries for a long period of time

If the batteries are left in the camera they will discharge. This is because a small electrical current continues to flow even when the camera is turned off. If the batteries continue to be left in the camera, they will discharge excessively and may become unusable even if charged.

When storing the batteries for a long period of time, we recommend charging them once a year. Remove the batteries from the camera and store them again after they have completely discharged.

Card

Do not leave the card where the temperature is high, where electromagnetic waves or static electricity are easily generated or exposed to direct sunlight.

Do not bend or drop the card.

The card may be damaged or the recorded content may be damaged or erased.

Store the card in the card case or the storage bag after use and when you store or carry the card.

Do not allow dirt, dust or water to enter the terminals on the back of the card and do not touch the terminals with your fingers.

When disposing of/transferring memory cards

If using the ‘format’ or ‘delete’ functions on your camera or computer, this only changes the file management information, and does not completely delete the data from within the memory card.

When disposing of or transferring your memory cards, we recommend physically destroying the memory card itself, or using commercially available computer data erasing software to completely delete the data from the card.

Data within memory cards should be managed responsibly.

About private information

Reset the settings to protect private information. (P23)

When images exist in the built-in memory, copy them onto the memory card (P74) and then format the built-in memory (P24).

Remove the memory card from this camera.

The built-in memory settings may be restored to the factory settings after repaired.

If the above operations are not possible due to malfunction condition, consult the place of purchase.

For transfer/disposal of memory cards, refer to “When disposing of/transferring memory cards” (above).
