r[SCENERY]

Note

Flash is fixed to Forced flash OFF [o].

The focus range is 5 m (16.41 feet) to 7.

t[SPORTS]

Allows you to shoot fast moving subjects (e.g. outdoor sports).

Note

Suitable for daylight shooting, 5 m (16.41 feet) or more away from the subject.

[i.AUTO] is activated, and maximum ISO sensitivity level becomes [ISO1600].

y[NIGHT PORTRAIT]

Shoot the subject with natural brightness using the flash and slow shutter speed.

„Technique for Night portrait mode

Use the flash. (You can set to [[].)

Due to the slow shutter speed, use a tripod and the self-timer for best results.

Keep the subject still for about 1 second after taking a picture.

Rotate the zoom lever to Wide (1 ×), about 1.5 m (4.93 feet) from the subject.

Note

The focus range is 1.2 m (3.94 feet) to 5 m (16.41 feet).

The shutter may close (max. about 8 sec.) after shooting due to signal processing. This is not a malfunction.

When shooting in dark places, noise may become visible.

The initial setting for [AF MODE] is [3].

u[NIGHT SCENERY]

The nightscape can be recorded vividly.

„Technique for Night scenery mode

When the camera is set to [STABILIZER] and there is very little jitter, or if [STABILIZER] is set to [OFF], shutter speed may slow down up to 8 seconds. We recommend using the tripod and the self-timer for best results.

Note

Flash is fixed to Forced flash OFF [o].

The focus range is 5 m (16.41 feet) to 7.

The shutter may close (max. about 8 seconds) after shooting due to signal processing. This is not a malfunction.

When shooting in dark places, noise may become visible.

i[FOOD]

Use to take pictures of food in restaurants, irrespective of the lighting, so that the natural colors of the subject come out.
