Zoom Microphone Function
Along with the zooming operation, the microphone’s directional angle and sensitivity are varied for recording sounds.

1 Set POWER to CAMERA.
2 Zoom slowly:
by lightly pressing the “T” (Telephoto) or the “W” (Wide Angle) side of the
POWER ZOOM.
Zoom quickly:
by applying more pressure.
3 Start recording.
Note
•The zooming speed ranges from a slow 17 seconds to a fast 1.8 seconds according to the amount of pressure applied to the POWER ZOOM.

2 Press MENU to display the CAMERA FUNCTIONS menu screen.
3 Rotate JOG KEY to select RECORDING SETUP , then press JOG KEY to display the RECORDING SETUP menu screen.
4 Rotate JOG KEY to select ZOOM MIC in the RECORDING SETUP menu. (Menu OSD: p. 108)
5 Press JOG KEY to select ON.
•Press MENU to exit.
•“Z.MIC” will appear on the screen.
Note
•The Zoom Microphone Function may not work effectively if the surrounding noise is too loud.
