Overview

How to Use this Manual

This manual introduces you to the Cisco VSM environment and guides you through the installation and initial configuration of the Cisco VSM software and the Cisco Multi Services Platform hardware. It also provides reference information for ongoing administration and operation of the system.

Table 1-1suggests how to use this manual. It describes how to obtain overview information and summarizes the activities that you perform when you first deploy VSM and its associated hardware and devices. It also provides information about performing ongoing system administration, management, and operation activities.
