Step 6 If the video encoder allows access from VSMS only if VSMS provides valid authentication credentials, take these actions in the Authentication area in the Details Tab:

a.In the Username field (see Figure 3-21), enter the user name that VSMS provides when accessing the video encoder.

The user name is configured on the video encoder and the value that you enter in this field must match the configured name exactly. The user name can contain alphabetic and numeric characters only and is case sensitive.

b.In the New Password field (see Figure 3-22), enter the password that VSMS provides when accessing the video encoder.

The password is configured on the video encoder and the value that you enter in this field must match the configured password exactly. The password can contain alphabetic and numeric characters only and is case sensitive.
