1Select the desired program source, CD or MD, by pressing the CD H or MD H button.

2Press the PRGM button.

I"PRGM" will flash.

3If you have selected CD, press one of the CD PLAY buttons (1-3) to select the disc to be played.

4Use the track number input buttons to designate the desired track number.

5Repeat steps 3-4 for any other tracks. Up to 20 tracks for MD or 32 tracks for CD can be programmed.

I To select the track on an MD or on the same CD, skip step 3.

I The last track number programmed and the total playing time of the

programmed tracks will be displayed automatically.

I If the total playing time of the programmed tracks on a CD exceeds

999 minutes 59 seconds or that on an MD exceeds 255 minutes 59

seconds, “– –:– –” will be displayed. In such a case, the programmed

1Press the CD H button.

2Press the TRACK button for at least 2 seconds.

3Press the CD PLAY buttons (1-3) to select the disc to be played.

4Select the track number you want using the MULTI CONTROL button.

5Press the TRACK button.

6Repeat steps 3-5 for any other tracks.

7Press the CD H button.

8Press the CD 06 button to start playback of the programmed selections.

IAfter all of the programmed tracks have finished playback, the unit will automatically stop.

To add tracks to the APMS:

When a program has been entered ("PRGM" is flashing), perform step 2. Additional tracks can be selected, and they will be stored after the last track you entered.

To clear the programmed selections:

Press the CLEAR button while "PRGM" is flashing.

IEach time the button is pressed, one track will be cleared, beginning with the last track programmed.

To cancel the APMS:

While the unit is stopped in the APMS mode, press the CLEAR button.

IThe program contents will be erased.

IWhen you open the disc tray or a MiniDisc is removed, the APMS mode will be canceled.

To check which tracks are programmed:

While the unit is stopped in the APMS mode, press theoron the MULTI CONTROL button.

IWhen the on the MULTI CONTROL button is pressed, the next

track number will appear. When is pressed, the previous track number will appear.

Notes:

IIt is not possible to insert an additional track between programmed tracks that have already been entered.

IProgramming and canceling are not possible during playback or in the pause mode.

[To record a set of programmed tracks]

1Press the CD H button.

2Load a recordable MiniDisc.

3Press the RECI button.

4Press the CD 06 button.

IThe programmed tracks will be recorded in order.

When the last track is recorded, the unit will stop automatically.
