HTrack/disc name

Up to 255 tracks can be named on each disc, and each disc can be given a disc name.

IUp to 100 characters (including spaces) can be entered for each name. If more than 100 characters are entered, “NAME FULL” will appear.

IA total of approximately 1700 characters can be used for all of the disc and track names. If more than 1700 characters are entered, “TOC FULL” will appear.

HTo create a disc name

Create name for the whole disc. The disc name is displayed when an MD is inserted.

1Press the MD H button.

IThe total number of tracks and the total playing time for the MD will appear.

2Press the NAME/TOC EDIT button, and then select “DISC NAME” using the MULTI CONTROL button.

ITo enter a disc name using extra large characters

Within 10 seconds, press the DISPLAY button to make the extra large character display appear.

3Within 10 seconds, press the ENTER button.

IThe unit will enter the character input mode.

4Enter the characters in the name.

IFor details about entering characters and how to make corrections, see pages 13 - 16.

5After entering all of the characters in the name, press the NAME/TOC EDIT button.

IThe disc name will be recorded.

Note:

IThis function cannot be used while in the program ( “PRGM” is lit) or the random play modes ( “RANDOM” is lit). First, cancel the program or random play modes before trying to use this function.

HTo create a track name

Name each track. The track name will be displayed whenever you select it and during playback.

1During playback, press the NAME/TOC EDIT button.

I“TRACK NAME” will appear.

ITo enter a track name using extra large characters

Within 10 seconds, press the DISPLAY button to make the extra large character display appear.

2Within 10 seconds, press the ENTER button.

IThe unit will enter the character input mode.

IThe track you are listening to will be played repeatedly.

3Enter the characters in the name.

4After entering all of the characters in the name, press the NAME/TOC EDIT button.

IThe track name will be recorded.

IThe unit will return to normal playback.
