(PRESET MEMORY)

 

TUNER OPERATIONS

BASIC CONNECTIONS

With this unit, up to 30 FM and AM broadcast

stations can be preset in the sequence desired.

 

 

For each of these stations, the frequency and

 

reception mode can be stored in the memory as

 

needed.

 

AUTO PRESET MEMORY

BASIC OPERATION

This function makes it possible to scan the FM band

automatically and store all stations with suitable

 

 

signal strength in the unit's preset memories.

SETUP

1. Hold down the unit's MEMORY button

or the EXIT/MEMO button on the remote

controller for at least two seconds.

 

“AUTO MEM” appears on the display, and

 

scanning starts from the lowest frequency.

ADVANCED OPERATION

2. Scanning automatically stops when all 30

preset memories have been set or when

 

 

auto scanning has reached the uppermost

 

limit of the band.

 

To stop the auto preset memory operation

 

at any time, press the unit's MEMORY

TROUBLESHOOTING

button or the EXIT/MEMO button on the

remote controller.

 

 

Note

 

The auto preset cannot be performed for AM

 

stations. Perform the manual preset instead.

MANUAL PRESET MEMORY

(When performing the operations using the unit's controls)

1. Tune into the frequency of the broadcast station to be set.

(Refer to the section on “MANUAL TUNING” or “AUTO TUNING”.)

2. Press the unit’s MEMORY button. The MEM indicator starts blinking on the display.

3. While the MEM indicator is still blinking, press the 1/2 cursor buttons to select the preset number.

4. Press the MEMORY button again to enter the selection.

The indicator stops blinking, and the broadcast station is stored in the preset memory selected.

(When performing the operations using the remote controller)

1. Press the TUNE button on the remote controller twice in succession.

2. Press the 1/2 cursor buttons to select the preset station whose programs are to be heard.

Alternatively, press the numeric buttons to select the preset station.
